Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon has gotten herself into hot water after making a comment on Bb. Pilipinas candidate Catriona Gray's answer during a Q&A.
According to some netizens, since Mariel did not enter the Top 15 of the Miss International pageant last year, she should just keep her comments to herself.
Based on the video uploaded by an Instagram account under the handle of @misssphilippines, Catriona Gray was seen explaining what her strengths are.
"My strength is that I’m an empathetic.
"I feel everything very strongly, and I find that when I sing through music, it helps me connect to people…"
After this, Mariel made a comment about her answer, saying that she feels it's a bit "scripted," which Fashion Pulis reported.
"I really love your confidence and the way you speak, but sometimes it seems just a tiny bit scripted."
