During the press conference for the Cornerstone artists, Erik Santos was asked about his opinion about Mark Bautista's controversial revelation.

KAMI learned from Pep that as one of Mark's closest friends in showbiz, Erik respects him and supports his decision.

“Ako, kung anuman yung nararamdaman niya, kung anuman yung ginagawa niya ngayon, I respect that.

“And I respect him as my friend, as a person, as an individual.

“Ako kasi, I respect all my friends—their talent, their individuality, kung sino sila.

“Wala namang perfect.

"Kung ano yung preference nila, kung ano yung maging desisyon nila sa buhay, sila yun, I respect that.” Erik explained.

Erik and Mark are part of the 'Champions' including Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go and Christian Bautista and Jed Madela. They used to have a regular stint on ASAP. where their closeness started.

According to Erik, he really had no idea about Mark's decision of coming out and

“Wala akong natatandaan na nai-share niya yun sa amin before,” he said.

The 35 year-old singer also revealed that he was somewhat surprised about Mark's revelation.

He was really clueless about it and he never noticed about Mark's action leading to his true identity and personality.

“May mga naririnig ako about the book, pero ayokong magtanong, e, nahihiya ako," Erik said.

Mark Bautista recently made headlines because of the launch of her biography which includes his controversial revelation.

The former Kapamilya artist admits that he once had an 'affair' to a rumored popular actor which made it the a talk-of-the-town.

He also did an interview in Kapuso mo Jessica Soho, where he also bravely answered questions about his true feelings, emotions, and identity.
