On March 8, during the Watsons Love the Sun summer campaign launch held at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Dani Barretto opens up for the first time about her youngest sister, which PUSH reported.

Marjorie Barretto's youngest child made headlines when she posted for the first time her photos on social media.

The eldest Barretto sister said that there was no specific reason why they only shared her photos this year.

It's just something that they want to keep private, nothing more, nothing less.

"Wala naman talagang specific reason. I don’t really want to go into details kasi it’s not my story to tell. There are just some things that we would like to keep private and this is one of them. But now we choose to share it, I hope the people will enjoy it with us kasi we’re very happy that we get to share it now with the public. Hindi rin naman siya napag-usapan. Parang one day we just said, ‘Okay, let’s share her. It’s about time.’ May isip na siya, she’s aware already with how social media works and we just felt like it’s the perfect time," she explained.

"We expected it naman na people are going to talk about it. It’s impossible naman na hindi siya pag-usapan but right now we’re just enjoying our family and my baby sister. And we’re so glad that we also got a lot of good feedback from a lot of people and people appreciated the fact that we shared her to the world finally. And the negative comments and the bashers, it’s always going to be there. Hindi naman mawawala yun. It’s part of it but she’s an innocent soul, she’s a kid and whatever we chose to keep it before, yung reason sa amin na lang. Parang respetuhin niyo na lang yun, kung ano yung pinapakita or shini-share namin ngayon sa public sana yun na lang yung i-appreciate ng tao at saka yun na lang yung pansinin nila," the eldest Barretto sister said.

To have a normal childhood - this has been their ultimate goal for their sister and they will do everything to protect her.

"I’m very protective [towards] my siblings. Very, very protective. I thought I was always going to be a cool ate but hindi pala. Aawayin ko lahat para sa mga kapatid ko lalo na ngayon with my baby sister I’m extra protective not only ako but lahat ng mga kapatid ko. I hope that the people can just enjoy this with us because we’re happy. We’re all happy," she explained.

According to Dani, their youngest sister will always be considered the baby of their family.

"Sobra akong happy kasi she’s a free-spirited, beautiful, and smart baby. Ayoko pa sabihing kid siya kasi in denial pa ako and ini-enjoy pa namin siya na baby siya. So I’m very, very happy na na-share na namin siya and the people will get to see how much joy she brings to our lives," Dani said.
