The 'Manobo' group of Commission on Higher Education in Mindanao went to TV Patrol regarding the misuse of concept of the latest ABS-CBN TeleSerye 'Bagani'.
According to them, “Ginawang ukay-ukay na lang, parang wala nang value yung pagka-Bagani.”
“Kailangan nakapatay ka na ng sampung tao bago ka magiging Bagani, masasamang tao. Kundi man kailangan nakapatay ka ng sampung ahas na poisonous snake,” they added.
The group also clarified that a 'Bagani' has no superpowers.
Because of these, the tribe has three request,First, to change the title of the teleserye or to re-write the script which has a reverence to the real meaning of 'Bagani'.
The third request is that they need to post a disclaimer before the show begins stating that they are not portraying the 'Bagani' associated to the Manobo.
