WATCH: Vice Ganda forgives father’s murderer

Jose Marie Viceral, more famously known for his stage name Vice Ganda, in an episode of ABS CBN's talk show Magandang Buhay talked about his sentiments towards his father's killer.

Vice Ganda in numerous shows in the past, has expressed being witness to his father's death. He said that this has been one of his biggest struggle growing up- suffering from the traumatized murder of his late father. According to the comedian, his father and the alleged killer was having an argument and later on his father was shot and killed. The actor-comedian recalls his father dying on his feet.

During the episode of Magandang Buhay, Vice was again asked by one of the hosts, Jolina Magdangal, about what transpired during the tragic night. Vice recalls that it was Linggo ng Palaspas (Palm Sunday) when it happened. People outside were in commotion and they were then informed that something had happened to Mang Rey, the actor's father. As they went out, he had then seen his father dying before his feet. But rather than going through what happened, Vice shifted the conversation by talking about how he and his family feels right not. He said that it has now reached to a point where he have surrendered everything to God and forgave the killer who was never convicted of the crime despite a lot of people witnessing to it. Vice has recently discovered that the man who he claimed to have killed his father is now having a lot of health problems.

"Sabi ko sa mga kaibigan ko, gusto ko siyang puntahan para sabihin sa kanya na matagal na kitang pinatawad". ("I told my friends that I wanted to visit him to tell him that I have forgave him a long time ago.")

Vice passionately talked about how his family and himself have forgiven the man, and hopes that he no longer carries the burden the tragedy, and that he knows that he is now free from the Viceral family's hate or anger.

He then closes this topic by recalling what he tells all his bashers and haters.

"kung napatawad ko nga ang pumatay sa tatay ko, kayo pa kaya?". ( If I was able to forgive my father's killer, how much more, you?" )
