- Our letter sender is an OFW from Saudi Arabia
- They were among the survivors of the Super Typhoon Yolanda back in 2013
- Through hard work and perseverance she was able to provide a decent home for her family
Our letter sender is Shelanie Casimero Bacor, she is currently an OFW based in Saudi Arabia.
Since their family suffered the onslaught of the Super Typhoon Yolanda back in November 2013, she became even more motivated to pursue a career abroad.
Before she went abroad, she had different types of jobs in the Philippines.
However, her salary was not enough to meet their family's financial needs.
Her father also needs money for surgery which is one of Shelanie's motivation working abroad.
Thinking that his surgery would fail, her father changed his mind about the operation and it was put on hold.
Through Shelanie's hard work and determination, she was able to provide a decent home for her family.
Shelanie wants to inspire her fellow OFWs to never give up and always trust the Lord for guidance.
