- Danilo Macababbad has become a viral sensation
- He became a homeless person when his parents died while he was young
- However, that did not stop him from seeking a job and from trying to improve his life
The story of Danilo Macababbad has inspired many netizens.
KAMI learned that Danilo became a street dweller who lived on his own after he lost his parents as a child.
According to GMA News’ “Front Row,” he slept in different parts of the streets and would go inside malls so that he could wash his face before going back to the streets again.
In order to earn some money, Danilo became a newspaper delivery boy. However, he barely made enough money to survive.
This forced him to beg for money and food.
According to Danilo, being a street dweller is extremely difficult. He was also discriminated because of his smell.
"'Yong tipong lalayo sila sa'yo, maaamoy nila minsan mabaho, walang lalapit sa'yo n'on…
"Sobra, sobrang hirap, lalo na't hindi mo alam paano mabuhay sa kalsada, hindi mo alam kung saan ka tatambay, hindi mo alam kung makaka-survive ka pa sa isang araw or diyan ka na lang o baka isang araw na lang patay na ako," he revealed.
But instead of giving up on life, Danilo decided to fight back and improve his life by attending job fairs even without a resume in hand.
Due to his determination and communication skills, he was hired as a call center agent.
His office mate even gave him clothes and shoes as well as helped him find a place to stay.
Now that he is doing better than ever, Danilo still goes to the streets in order to give food to homeless people.
Here are some of the reactions from netizens:
“I can sense this guy is strong and intelligent. This guy will have a good future. His agony right now is molding him to become so wealthy in the future. He will be a blessing to many.”
