Former PBB housemate Wil Dasovich had a very emotional announcement that he is now cancer-free.
In his interview with Karen Davila's 'Headstart' last February 23, Wil also revealed that taking medical cannabis took a big part for his recovery and healing.
Wil stayed in the US for his medication.
KAMI learned from Pep that since cannabis is legal in the said country and considered it as a miracle drug, his doctor advised him to take it aside from his chemotheraphy.
"Every single cancer patient I met in the infusion center uses medical cannabis"
“Because the best thing it does, it's kind of like a miracle drug."
"There's something about it. The best thing is that it gives you an appetite."
“When you are in chemo, nothing tastes good.
"Your favorite food just tastes terrible, so you stop eating.
"I didn't try it until halfway through my cycles."
"Chemo gets harder through every cycle, but it actually became so much easier once I've finally tried that and did it."
“And I didn't do it to smoke because I want to preserve my lungs.
"It comes in candy, in brownies, and everything." Wil narrated.
Here in the Philippines, taking cannabis in any forms even for medication is still illegal.
Last August 2017, Wil first revealed that he had cancer however but he did not gave out full details of his disease.
As a vlogger, he documented his journey on his Youtube channel which has a million viewers.
He also underwent nine cycles of chemotherapy and a 1 week surgery just last January.
Wil broke the good news on his latest vlog. His inspiring survival story leads to another sweet revelation about his relationship with fellow vlogger and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
