La Luna Sangre star Kathryn Bernardo received the honor of being the new Pambansang ambassadress of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines on February 22.
And with her signature poise, Bernardo fit the part of a role model to a tee.
Her Star Magic family posted a photo of her in the iconic green uniform.
In a video posted by Girl Scout of the Philippines, Kathryn gives an inspirational speech to the young scouts.
"Ever since I was a kid, super masaya ako na naging part ako ng girl scouts because aside from the camping, I know yung mga pinaglalaban ng girl scout," she said.
She said she hopes to fulfill the group's expectations of her - even if only "one step at a time."
"I'm really excited to work with this, my new family to promote different type of values to the youth to the kids... medyo matagal na since naging girl scout ako [It's been a while since I was a girl scout] and I'm willing to learn everything again," Kathryn added.
She also gave books to a daycare library and read books to the participants.
Part of her advocacies as an ambassadress is to promote reading.
The Girl Scouts of the Philippines is an international organization that provides "a non-formal progressive educational program based on spiritual values and the ideal of service."
It was founded in 1940 and is open to those aged four to 21 years old.
Aside from her role as GSP ambassador, Bernardo also worked with the Commission on Elections this year to encourage women to vote and run for the upcoming barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan elections in May.
