A Syrian National who lived in the Philippines for almost 5 years showed his sympathy towards the slain OFW in Kuwait by a Lebanese husband and a Syrian wife.
He is called "Basel" by his YouTube followers.
He said he feels that Filipinos are close to him and feels they are his second family so what hurts them also hurts Basel.
The vlogger also expressed his feeling as a Syrian knowing that his fellow Syrian killed an OFW.
Basel wish to extend his deepest condolences and that they do not represent him as a Syrian.
The YouTuber is very firm in his belief that Joanna's employers who killed her should be punished for what they did.
According to Basel, not every Filipino who worked abroad were just maids and housekeepers.
There are professionals like the doctors, nurses and engineers who helped in developing other countries.
He then recounted why he was in the country.
The Syrian vlogger studied in the Philippines as compute engineer.
On the latter part of the video, Basel urged every Nationality to stop treating Filipinos like they have no values.
He also addressed a message to those who are misjudging the president.
"You're not in the Philippines to see what we see here.
Basel also said that the Philippines is becoming a place where anybody would wish to live in because of 'Tatay Digong.'
One of his parting message is, "Justice will be served."
