Anthony Taberna has issued an apology on “Umagang Kay Ganda” for his controversial comments in the previous episode, which has drawn criticisms on social media.

KAMI learned that the news anchor said that he did not mean to blame the 19-year-old woman who was victimized by seven perverse men in Caloocan City and that he only wanted to warn other women so that they could avoid getting abused.

According to PEP.ph, he also promised to be more careful in expressing his thoughts in the future.

Taberna is one of the most popular anchors on ABS-CBN.

He is married to journalist Rossel Velasco.

They have two daughters – Zoey and Helga Taberna.

KAMI admires Taberna for owning up to his mistake and promising to be a better person!
