Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano got herself into hot water after saying that she loves Sinigang to defend her Pinoy blood.

The newest fantasy series of ABS-CBN "Bagani" earned countless criticisms for casting actors with foreign descent.

The Bagani actress took to Twitter to clarify that they are very much Pinoy.

According to them, they are not denying the fact that she has Pinoy blood, what they're saying is that she looks more of a foreigner than a Filipino.

The headwriter and Bagani creator defended its casting, Mark Duane Angos said the show is not set on a pre-colonial Philippines but a fictional world called "Sansinukob."

The new drama fantasy series is set to premiere this coming March which will replace "La Luna Sangre."

The main stars of the show both came from foreign descent.

Liza Soberano's mother is of American descent while Enrique's father is of German and Spanish descent.
