An annulment of a marriage pertains to a legal and official declaration that a marriage was null or invalid in the first place.
KAMI learned from GMA Entertainment about these celebrity marriages in the Philippines that have been annulled.

1. Diether Ocampo and Kristine Hermosa
Kristine and Diether got married in 2004.
However, Kristine filed for an annulment just less than a year after their wedding. In 2006, their marriage was legally annulled.
2. Rustom Padilla and Carmina Villaroel
In 1994, Carmina and Rustom were married.
After separating in 1996 due to the revelation that Rustom is gay, their marriage was finally annulled in 2002.
Carmina tied the knot with then matinee idol, Rustom Padilla in 1994.
3. Benjie Paras and Jackie Forster
The athlete and the actress tied the knot on December 18, 1994. However, they went separate ways in 2001 and were granted an annulment in 2003.
4. Bernard Palanca and Merryll Soriano
The married couple separated just five months after getting married. It took five years for them to be granted an annulment.
5. Brix Ferraris and Amy Perez
In 2006, Amy’s request for an annulment of her marriage to South Border vocalist Brix Ferraris was denied. She finally got her wish in 2014.
6. Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie
Vic and Dina got married in 1982 but separated in 1986.
It took them six years to finally get their annulment.
7. James Yap and Kris Aquino
In 2005, Kris and James tied the knot. However, they broke up in 2010 and got their marriage annulled in 2012.
8. Gabby Concepcion & Sharon Cuneta
The two famous actors married each other in 1984 and separated in 1987. In 1993, the court granted their appeal for an annulment.
9. Dennis Padilla & Marjorie Barretto
The comedian and the actress tied the knot in 1997. In 2007, the couple separated. It took two years for them to receive an annulment from the court.
10. Martin Nievera & Pops Fernandez
The singers got married in 1982. Their plea for an annulment was granted in 2000.
11. Jomari Yllana and Aiko Melendez
Aiko and Jomari tied the knot in 1998. They have a son named Andre. Three years after their wedding, the celebrity couple separated. Their marriage was finally annulled in 2003.
