After wowing the Chinese crowd with her jazzy version of Adele's Rolling in the Deep, KZ Tandingan gave audiences another stellar performance.

On her second week in the competition Singer 2018, KZ sang a heartfelt cover of a medley of Chinese songs.

It's the first time KZ sang in Mandarin. And it proved how well-rounded she is as a performer.

The Filipino singer spoke to MYX before the second week of the competition aired.

She shared how she prepared for the most challenging performance of her career.

"Ito yata 'yung pinakamahirap kong ginawa technically na inaral ko lang na parang a little over a week. At naging proud naman ako sa kinalabasan," said KZ.

While KZ was singing, some members of the audience were seen either completely transfixed on her performance or else wiping away tears.

Even in a foreign language, KZ was able to convey the beautiful emotions of the song.

She placed sixth for her performance.

But because of her first place finish last week, KZ still ended up on the Top 3 after her scores were averaged.

She comes after top contenders HuaHua and Jessie J.

KZ will return on the next episode as a regular contender after two weeks as a challenger.

Singer 2018 pits professional singers from all over the world against each other.

Her competition include Jessie J from the UK, Tien Chong from Hong Kong, Angela Chang from Taiwan, Li Xiaodong, Wang Feng, James Li and Juno Su from China.

KZ can stay until the finale in April if she doesn't get eliminated by the public through the weekly voting.

KZ rose to fame in the Philippines after winning the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012.

She stood out for her jazzy renditions of popular hits.

Aside from her soulful voice, KZ also has amazing rap skills.
