Kris Aquino gave an update on the health condition of one of his sons, Bimby Aquino-Yap.
KAMI learned from Kris’ Instagram post that she found out from a doctor the cause of Bimby’s coughing and wheezing.
The actress-host explained that she mistakenly thought that she infected Bimby when the truth is that his condition is asthma related.
“Nabawasan my guilt- i really thought nahawa si Bimb sa kin. Thank you to our pediatrician Dr. @ayenuguid for the house call earlier.
“It’s a good news/ bad news type of day. Bimb’s coughing & wheezing is asthma related- not viral. So he started nebulizing & started medication.
“My cough is actually from a bad case of allergic rhinitis that clogged my sinus passages & went down to my throat causing the nonstop cough irritation.
“Asthma runs in my family, both my mom & my sister Viel had it. I’m just on more antihistamines w/ a little steroidal component for the next 5 days.
“I asked if it was okay to continue diffusing & Thank God Doc Aye’s sister is also an essential oils believer so he allowed me. I studied my app & it advised eucalyptus, lavender, and frankincense.
“I cannot deny, overprotective mom ako, so using 2 of the diffusers we bought in Japan. And for once- since asthma yung kay Bimb & allergy related mine- Kuya is healthy.
“For so long, basta 1 of us got sick- package deal na BUT now Kuya is HEALTHY! We (that’s the 3 of us + Bincai) are leaving for an 8 night birthday break for me in exactly 1 week (2 of our tickets are from my credit card points that we transferred to @flypal’s Mabuhay Miles) so i am really praying super good health na for all of us.

Josh is Kris’ son with her former partner Phillip Salvador.
On the other hand, Bimby is her child with her ex-husband James Yap.
Kris and James’ marriage was annulled in 2012.
