Pinoy boxer Jerwin Ancajas’ rise in the boxing world seems unstoppable as he scored a 10th round knock out against Mexican Israel “Jiga” Gonzalez in his US debut.
KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that this is Jerwin’s fourth successful defense of his IBF junior bantamweight title.
The fight was held at the American Bank Center Corpus Christi in Texas.
Ancajas was able to knock down Gonzalez in the first round but the latter was able to get back up and recover.
However, the Pinoy boxer continued to dominate his Mexican foe in all of the next rounds.
In the 10th round, Ancajas once again scored a knockdown against Gonzalez, who once again bravely stood up.
The Filipino champ ended the fight with a left hook right after Gonzalez got up from the knockdown.
A highlights video, obtained from the YouTube channel called Knock Out, showed the skills and courage of Ancajas.

Fight fans are clamoring for Ancajas to fight the top fighters in his division.
They include WBA champion Khalid Yafai, WBC champion Srisaket Sor Rungvaisai and WBO king Naoya Inoue.
Other top contenders include Roman Gonzales, Carlos Cuadras and Juan Francisco Estrada.
