Mark Anthony Fernandez has been freed from jail last month. Unknown to many, Mark is the nephew of Robin Padilla, as he and Rudy Fernandez, Mark's father, are cousins.

This gave rise to speculations that Robin had a hand in setting Mark free from jail, considering that it is of public knowledge that Robin is close to President Rodrigo Duterte.

KAMI saw on PEP that Robin declared that Mark did not ask help from him. He also said that he is happy and he takes his hats off to his nephew.

"Natutuwa ako. Hanga ako sa pamangkin ko. Hindi humingi ng tulong sa akin ‘yan. Wala ‘tong nagsabi na, 'Tulungan mo ako, Tito Robin.'" said Bad Boy.

It was only once that Robin visited Mark in jail. It was when he was newly arrested in Pampanga.

Robin also revealed that he was not able to do anything when his 39-year-old nephew was arrested.

Now that Mark is free, Robin's only message to him is that he needs to be thankful that he is alive and that he has finally gotten out of jail.

Robin Padilla is known as the Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema.

He is the husband of Mariel Padilla, who has left showbiz to take care of their baby.

Bad Boy is also the uncle of Daniel Padilla of the KathNiel love team.
