- It confused netizens who knew they got married in 2004
- Gladys clarified the real anniversary they were celebrating
Fans got confused when Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas renewed their wedding vows on January 23 and said it marks their 25th year together.
Netizens pointed out that the long-time couple got married in 2004, which means this year is just their 14th anniversary.
On Instagram, Gladys finally addressed the confusion with a video post on January 26.
The video showed their love story starting when they met as 13 and 15 year-olds until they got married in 2004.
Gladys wrote in the caption: "Sa mga nalilito bakit 25 years? I meant 25 years of 'togetherness' not wedding anniversary. We started as childhood sweethearts in 1993, got married in 2004, today 2018 marks our 25th as a couple."
Gladys and Christopher met as teenagers on the set of classic soap opera Mara Clara in 1992.
It was first love for both actors.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Gladys said it was an "answered prayer" meeting "the one" on that show.
The couple now have four kids.
