- Janet Lim Napoles claims that she donated P5M to Senator Franklin Drilon during the 2010 elections
- According to her, it was even Drilon himself who received the money
- Drilon denies the accusation
Janet Lim-Napoles claims that she made a campaign donation to Drilon during the 2010 elections, amounting to P5 million, which GMA reported.
Parts of her interview with Erwin Tulfo was aired last Monday on PTV-4.
According to Napoles, she met Drilon at a hotel and personally handed the money to him.
P5 million po," she said.
Napoles said that Drilon even thanked her and pointed out that he was accompanied by a relative.
"Nagpasalamat po siya dahil noon tanggapin niya iyon, may kasama pa siyang kapamilya niya eh."
The alleged pork barrel mastermind also debunks Drilon's statement against her and claims that she was in fact a close friend of the Senator.
Senator Drilon denies the accusation of Napoles and refers to her claim as 'fake news.'
"We deny having received any campaign contribution from Napoles. We have submitted our Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE), w/cv are open for public scrutiny. We will not further comment on such obviously fake news intended to harass the opposition," the Senator said.
