Sobrang simple lang ng unang kasal! Maxene Magalona shares why they decided to have a secret church wedding first

- Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil tied the knot last January 11, 2018

- It was held at Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa

- But as it turns out, that was their second union as a couple

The two already exchanged vows at an intimate church ceremony three days before their beach wedding. It was held at Santuario de San Antonio Church in Forbes Park, Makati and only the couple’s immediate families and principal sponsors were present.

All the guests were asked to share this only after the beach wedding. KAMI learned that side from an all-white beach wedding, the church wedding guests were asked to wear black suits for men and blush pink for women.

Maxene shared on her Instagram account on why they decided to have a small church wedding. She said that there were only 33 guests, no coordinators, no wedding march, and no mass. Just a simple wedding rites.

They decided to have a church wedding because they are both Catholic and that the church they chose has a huge significance for them.

"1.8.18 The day we received the holy sacrament of matrimony in front of 33 people — our immediate families and principal sponsors. We didn’t have coordinators, a wedding march and a mass; just the actual wedding rites.

We did this because we had always dreamt of having an outdoor ceremony with personal vows and since we’re both Catholic, we decided to have a small church wedding first. We chose the church where we completed Simbang Gabi mass during our first year of dating so that we could visit it from time to time.❤️

Rob’s off-the-rack suit from Hong Kong was tailored by Joey Samson and my dress was made by Mark Bumgarner — two of our favorite local designers!!! Leather jackets were styled by Rob #iROByouveryMAXX #MagalonaMananquil @theproudrad" she captioned.
