Just like these celebrities here in our country who admitted that they battled depression once or more in their lives.
Behind those sweet smiles and loud laughs, at the end of the day they are ordinary people who tries to survive their battle.

1. Sharon Cuneta
The Megastar Sharon Cuneta is known for being transparent to everyone. She speaks out what's on her mind. When depression unexpectedly strikes her, she took it to Facebook and even shared how Judy Ann Santos comforted her thru test messages and also visited her. This actually made her feel important and it made her smile again.
2. Maricel Soriano
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano admitted that she silently fought depression after her mother died. "Kinailangan ko [psychiatric help], hindi ko kaya nung namatay ang nanay ko. Siguro apat na araw akong gising. Hindi ako natutulog,” said Soriano, according to Yahoo Southeast Asia Newsroom.
3. Janno Gibbs
Even Comedian Janno Gibbs admitted in an interview with GMA 7’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho that he was able to overcome depression after seeking professional help. He is forever thankful for his family who never give up on him.
"It wasn’t that serious, pero enough for me to seek help. I sought professional help plus of course, malaking bagay… I’m lucky because I have a family who supported me… my wife, my kids, my parents,” He shared.
4. Vhong Navarro
In September of 2014, Vhong Navarro made headlines because of the alleged mauling of Denice Cornejo, Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz . Because the 3 were able to bail out, Vhong admitted that he got depressed.
"Siyempre nalungkot. Nadepress. Naiyak nga ako noong gabi. Di ko alam san nanggaling yung luha bigla na lang bumagsak. Ngayon, unti-unting nagsisink-in ulit. Kasi siyempre, ito na nga yung pamilya ko, babalik dun sa kung ano yung naranasan ko sa loob nun condominium. Yung mga paratang na binigay sa akin, 'di ba yung pagtututok sa akin ng baril, yung kung anong sinabing pwedeng mangyari sa pamilya ko at sa akin*,” said Navarro, in his interview with Push
5. Angelica Panganiban
Way back 2016 the actress revealed that she even wanted to quit showbiz because of depression. “Depressed na depressed daw siya to the point na gusto na niya mag-quit sa showbiz at doon siya manirahan sa America with her family. ‘Di ba na-meet naman niya 'yung father niya? Parang gusto na daw niya mag-quit sa showbiz,” according to Jobert Sucaldito, DZMM 'Mismo' anchor.
6. Nadine Lustre
October of 2015 Nadine Lustre posted an alarming caption on her photo posted on Instagram.
"It's gotten to the point where I don't know who I am anymore. I constantly feel like I'm on the verge of breaking down. I feel like my mind is going crazy, and if my mind is an ocean, my thoughts are a tsunami. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate, I can't even think straight. I am a mess. I'm coming apart at the seams and it scares me."
This is obviously that something is happening to her that time.
In an interview with ABS-CBN news, Nadine confirmed her condition
“I was feeling depressed. Basta personal. It's not with my career," said Lustre.
Nadine is now busy with her career and she actually has an upcoming concert with boyfriend James Reid.
7. Vice Ganda
Blockbuster actor and TV host Vice Ganda admitted that he suffered depression way back 2013.
In an interview with Pep, He was even suicidal by the age of 19. He also gave an advice to people who are suffering with this condition.
"Sa lahat ng mga batang may pinagdadaanan, kung ano man ang pinagdaanan ko noon, kung ano man ang pangit na binabalak niyo, ‘wag niyo ituloy. Sayang dahil may maganda palang plano ang Diyos, mas maganda sa mga pinaplano natin,"
"Nilamon ako ng depression na hindi ko ho maintindihan. So natulog ako. Paggising ko malungkot pa rin ako kaya hindi ako nakapasok sa ‘It’s Showtime.’ Inisip ko, bakit ba ako nalulungkot? Iyak lang ako ng iyak. Tumitingin ako sa paligid ko, lahat nagco-congratulate sa akin kasi sobrang successful ko, pero bakit hindi ako masaya? Bakit ang lungkot lungkot ko ilang lingo na? Tapos tinignan ko ang paligid ko tapos na-realize ko, wala pala akong kasamang pamilya. Sabi ko nasaan na yung nanay ko, yung lolo ko, yung mga kapatid ko? Sa sobrang tutok ko pala sa trabaho ko, kung paano ako magiging successful, kung paano ako magiging magaling, mayroon pala akong pamilyang napabayaan na hindi ko napansin wala na sa tabi ko,” the comedian said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
