After disappearing from showbiz, Maybelyn got married to Dagupan councilor Michael Fernandez in 2008.
In 2017, she gave birth to her first child.
Maybelyn also got involved in politics like her husband.
She got elected as city councilor of Dagupan in 2010.
The former child star is also an active member of the Philippine National Red Cross.
Aside from “Home Along Da Riles,” Maybelyn also appeared on teleseryes such as “Impostora,” “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?” and “Tinik sa Dibdib.”
She also tried doing theater, playing the role of Maria Clara in Jose Rizal’s “Noli Me Tangere.”
