Bea Alonzo is gearing up to face bashers now that it's announced she will be paired with rumored ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson in a Star Cinema movie.
Bea recalled having to deal with online hate when she was linked to Gerald six years ago. This time, though, she knows how to face them all.
"Mas gusto namin na ilagay ang energy namin sa pagpapaganda ng pelikulang ito. To have a good and powerful material rather than thinking of the bashers," said Bea.
(We want to focus our energy into making a wonderful movie.)
When asked if it's possible to rekindle the special connection between her and Gerald now that they're set to make a movie together, Bea gamely teases: "It's too early to tell."
The Kapamilya actress added: "Right now, parang na-excite ako to see him. Look at him, ang guwapo, o!"
(Right now, I'm excited to see him. Look at him, he's so handsome!)
Bea revealed that they were supposed to work together a long time ago but the project didn't push through.
"Baka ito ang tamang timing, sobrang excited ako, it's really exciting," said Bea.
(Maybe this is the right timing, I'm so excited, it's really exciting.)
Bea shared that this upcoming movie is a challenging project for her.
"What's good about it, it's character-driven, hindi siya plot-driven. Dun nagsisimula ang istorya, sa nararamdaman at pinagdadaanan ng dalawang characters," Bea shared.
(What's good about it, it's character-driven, not plot-driven. The story starts with what the characters feel and go through.)
Of course, Bea was asked about the other actors being romantically linked to her.
On long-time screen partner John Lloyd Cruz, she maintained that they are just friends: "No, we're friends, nothing has changed."
On ex-boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo: "Yeah we're friends. Hindi naman siya bad breakup, we still talk."
