Rumors are spreading that Jasmine Curtis-Smith might be playing the lead female role opposite Alden Richards in an upcoming teleserye.
According to Yahoo! Philippines, the Kapuso network will be adapting the extremely popular South Korean drama, "Descendants of the Sun" with Filipino actors.
Jasmine's digital contract with TV-5 will be expiring this year. According to Manila Bulletin, a source told them Jasmine's manager is already in talks with GMA 7.
Manila Bulletin added that Alden and Jasmine were supposed to star in a movie together in 2014.
But their love team was set aside when Alden and Maine Mendoza's unexpected and phenomenal pairing happened on "Eat Bulaga".
Although rumors are spreading, GMA has reportedly said they have not yet picked actors for the Filipino version of "Descendants of the Sun".
Jasmine is the younger sister of Anne Curtis.
She recently won Best Supporting Actress in the MMFF for her role in "Siargao".
Alden is currently paired with Maine. Their love team has been involved in controversy after Maine posted an open letter to her fans in November 2017.
