Anne Curtis shows off martial arts skills in action-packed new trailer

- TV host and actress Anne Curtis stars in the upcoming movie "Buy Bust"

- She shared the mini trailer on Facebook

- The actress trained in Filipino martial arts Pekiti-Tirsia Kali for months

Anne Curtis is a woman of many talents. She has proven herself a great dramatic actress, a solid TV host, a sought-after endorser, and a sold-out concert performer.

Now, she can also call herself an action star.

On January 2, Anne shared the mini trailer for the indie film she had been working on for over a year.

Her martial arts training is on full display in the video as she beats up armed men attacking her.

Anne learned Pekiti-Tirsia Kali for the movie. It is a martial arts form that teaches using improvised weapons for self-defense.

On her Facebook post, Anne wrote: "This is the beauty of pekiti-tirsia kali - when you're disarmed of an actual weapon, you can use anything you can find to defend yourself because you become the weapon."

Anne plays an agent of the DEA in the film. She and her team find themselves in danger while doing an operation in the slums.

It is directed by Erik Matti. Other stars in the film include Joross Gamboa, Brandon Vera, Mara Lopez, AJ Muhlach, Nonie Buencamino, and Victor Neri.

"Buy Bust" was submitted to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 but was not selected as one of the final eight entries.
