Stephen Curry eyes Game 3 return against Blazers

Reigning MVP Stephen Curry is itching to return on court and play in Game 3 in their best-of-seven series against the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round. He missed the first game and most likely to miss the second game action.

When by ESPN’s Lisa Salters when asked about the chances of him playing in Saturday's Game 3, Curry confidently responded, “To me they're pretty good,"

Even without Curry, the Warriors were able to roll past the Trail Blazers in Game 1, 118-106. Klay Thompson led the way for the Warriors with 37 points, while Draymond Green added 23 markers. Game 2 is set on Tuesday in Oakland. Games 3 and 4 will be played in Portland.

Curry is recovering from a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee which he sustained in their Game 4 win against the Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA playoffs. An estimated two-week recovery time was given to Curry.

The MVP is currently getting treatment at least three times a day to fast track his recovery. A week after the injury, Curry completed stationary shooting drills. Warriors’ Coach Steve Kerr said that he could be able to join a five-on-five scrimmage later this week.
