- Freddie’s family escaped unhurt but most of his belongings perished in the fire

Pinoy music legend Freddie Aguilar suffered a big loss at the start of 2018 as his house in Quezon City was hit by fire on January 2, at around 11:06 p.m.

KAMI learned from dzBB and Philippine Star that Freddie’s wife Jovie and his son were able to escape with their lives and that no one got hurt in the fire.

It was Freddie’s so who first learned about the fire on the first floor. He then went to the second floor to alert Jovie.

The two escaped by going to the balcony, climbing their roof, and then making their way to their neighbor’s roof.

Almost all of Freddie’s belongings perished in the fire, including CDs, recordings, musical instruments and awards.

In a report by ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda,” the possible causes of the fire could be overloading and water leak in the pipes.

Freddie is considered as one of the greatest musician-songwriters in the country.

He is best known for his classic songs such as “Bayan Ko” and “Anak.”

The OPM legend is now 64 years old.
