TV personality and host Melai Cantiveros plans to file a case against a netizen that bashed both her and her two year old daughter, Amelia Lucille Francisco.
This started when Melai endorsed Mar Roxas as her choice for President on Facebook. The netizen, named Shawie Constantino Enriquez, called Melai thick-faced and ugly, and that she hoped Melai’s daughter would be raped.
The actress expressed her outrage over the post by posting a screenshot of it on her Instagram, and a caption condemning the actions of the netizen:
(I don’t pick fights, even when I get bashed for choosing Mar Roxas as my president. But when you tell me that you want my child to be raped, that’s a different story.)
(I will fight back because what you did was wrong. You dare to bring my baby daughter into this!? To all my friends who support Duterte, do you think what your fellow supporter said was right? I am ready to file a case against this person.)
#pleaseHELP #speakforeverybody"
(Please help me repost her face on social media. Her name is Shawie Constantino Enriquez. So I can file a case on her bullying, what she’s doing isn’t normal, and I while contact DSWD and Bantay Bata to consult them on possible courses of action I can take on this heartless woman. #pleaseHELP #speakforeverybody)
Angelica Panganiban, a close friend of Melai and a Duterte supporter, stood up for her friend in the comments section.
She chastised Enriquez for her hateful comments, and reminded everyone that different opinions on who should be president should never be a reason for one to wish ill on another.
After this post gained traction on social media, Enriquez posted a public status, claiming her Facebook was hacked and denying that she personally posted the comment. She also sent an apology to Melai Cantiveros and the family.
