- JC Santos admitted he is no longer part of the upcoming TV series, “Asintado”
- “Meant to Beh” star shared his thoughts on getting axed from the show
- Apart from JC, Angelica Panganiban was also replaced on the show
Following his appearance on the MMFF 2017 entry, “Meant to Beh,” theater and TV actor JC Santos has recently faced the issues regarding his supposed role on an upcoming TV series.
From what KAMI learned, JC is no longer part of the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye, “Asintado,” which features Kapamilya actress Julia Montes. But JC seemed to have no hard feelings about it.
In fact, the 29-year-old actor stressed that there is no issue about it because it already happened in the film, “Ghost Bride.”
According to PEP.ph, the Star Cinema horror flick was headlined by Kim Chiu.
It was released in November and JC was replaced by Christian Bables. That is why JC said that he is no longer affected by any cast changes, saying he is already used to it.
As per JC, the cast changes on “Asintado” could be due to “different priorities.” He even joked that maybe it was “not meant to beh.”
“Diyos ko, sanay na ako sa mga ganyan, and galing din naman ako sa teatro, di ba?” JC said.
“Siyempre may mga roles na mapupunta sa 'yo at may mga roles na hindi mapupunta sa iyo, it’s not meant to beh!” he added.
Apart from JC, Angelica Panganiban is also no longer part of the series, which was initially titled “Victims of Love” during the storycon and media launch.
Based on the newly released teaser, actress Shaina Magdayao appeared to have replaced Angelica on the show.
Kapamilya newbie Aljur Abrenica, on the other hand, was also spotted as part of the series.
However, it remains unclear whether Aljur will be replacing JC or he will be portraying the role of a different character.
As for other cast members, Paulo Avelino, Lorna Tolentino and Cherry Pie Picache are also part of the series. It is set to premiere in January 2018.
Despite being pulled out from “Asintado,” JC revealed he will be having a new TV series in February 2018. He will also have a new partner.
But the identity of his ka-loveteam remains a secret. According to JC, he can’t divulge any info about his partner, the project or the team-up yet.
JC is also part of the upcoming film, “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz,” with Ryza Cenon. It is set to hit the theaters on Jan. 24, 2018.
Meanwhile, as JC looks forward to what is in store for him in 2018, KAMI would like to share a video about Filipino Christmas and New Year superstitions.
