Wagi sa acting! Artists who won in the 65th FAMAS Awards

- The 65th FAMAS Awards took place on December 28

- It was held at Philippine Science Center Auditorium in Quezon City

- Kapamilya actors won the top awards

KAMI learned that Daniel Padilla and Angelica Panganiban lead the winners of the 65th FAMAS Award. PEP recently reported about this.

Star Cinema’s “Barcelona: A Love Untold” is considered as the biggest winner with at least four awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Olivia Lamasan, Best Actor for Daniel Padilla, and Best Production Design for Shari Marie Montiague.

Coming in close with at least two awards is “The Unmarried Wife,” also by Star Cinema. It took home the Best Actress Award for Angelica Panganiban and Best Screenplay for Vanessa Valdez.

Also taking home at least two awards is “Ringgo: The Dog Shooter," Best Supporting Actress for Liza Diño-Seguerra and Best Child Performer for Lance Lucido.

Best Actress: Angelica Panganiban (The Unmarried Wife)

Best Supporting Actor: Ricky Davao (Iadya Mo Kami)

Best Production Design: Shari Marie Montiague (Barcelona: A Love Untold)

Best Sound Design: Aurel Claro Bilbao (Everything About Her)

Best Screenplay: Vanessa Valdez (The Unmarried Wife)

Best Editing: Beng Bandong (Vince & Kath & James)

Special Awards:

German Moreno Youth Achievement Award: Maine Mendoza and Ivan Dorschner

FPJ Memorial Award: Dingdong Dantes

Lifetime Achievement Award: Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes

Arturo M. Padua Memorial Award: Ronald King Constantino

Dr. Jose Perez Memorial Award: Dolly Ann Carvajal

Outstanding Producer: Donna Sanchez

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (also known as FAMAS Awards) are the annual honors given by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS), an organization composed of prize-winning writers and movie columnists, for achievements in the Philippine cinema for a calendar year.
