Presidential assistant Bong Go uses jetski to rescue stranded residents in Davao

Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go used a jetski to help rescue stranded Davaoeños in Jade Valley Subdivision on Friday evening, December 22.

Photos taken by Davao photographer Roland Jumawan started circulating online since Friday.

They show Go ferrying women and children aboard a jetski. He is also seen handing the rescued over to uniformed personnel.

According to Rappler, the presidential assistant prioritized infants and children in his efforts.

Severe Tropical Storm Vinta (international name Tembin) brought widespread rains in the Visayas and Mindanao. It is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Christmas Eve.

The storm comes after Tropical Storm Urduja (international name Kai-tak) devastated the Visayan Region last week.

Bong Go has been the executive assistant and personal aide of President Rodrigo Duterte since 1998.

He has also been appointed by Duterte to supervise the Presidential Management Staff.
