Revilla filed the petition on December 12. He asked the court to allow him to visit his family from December 24 to 25 and December 31 to January 1.

Aside from having Noche Buena and Media Noche with his family, Revilla stated the health condition of his father as reasons for his request.

He had previously been allowed by the Sandiganbayan to visit his ailing father, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr, last June.

The younger Revilla is detained for his alleged involvement in the multimillion-peso pork barrel scam. He is accused of plunder and graft.
