Na-depress ng todo! Jasmine Curtis gets emotional as she addresses anorexia allegations

- Netizens are worried about Jasmine Curtis' health due to her rapid weight loss

- Some even speculated that she might have an eating disorder

- She addresses the issue and admits depression over the accusations

KAMI learned from PEP, that during an interview with Jasmine Curtis in the presscon for their movie "Siargao," which is an official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the actress became emotional when she was asked about issues with regards to her weight.

She was hurt when some people even called her "anorexic" and “malnourished,” and this have caused her to feel depressed.

The issue about her weight started before her sister Anne Curtis' wedding, wherein people noticed her rapid weight loss.

According to her sister Anne, Jasmine was just preparing for their wedding and wanted to look good in her maid of honor gown.

During the presscon for "Siargao," the 23-year-old Jasmine voiced her opinion about the issue:

“I just want to share my opinion as a mental health advocate.

“It affected me, it gave me anxiety, it made me so depressed that people calling me out like that.

“It is so hurtful that people don’t understand na kaming mga nasa industriya, tinatanggap naman namin lahat.

“Huwag n'yo lang kaming pangaralan, as if hindi naman kami pinaparangalan ng mga manager namin, ng family namin.”

“Sorry, sensitive topic for me...

"I’ve never been humiliated by my weight, shamed by my weight, because di kayo happy na payat ako.

“Hindi lang… it was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, napakapangit ko palang tao dahil payat ako!’ or ‘Oh, my gosh, napakasama ko palang tao dahil di ninyo gusto ang hitsura ko!’

“Ganun na pala tayo sa society ngayon, wala nang love.

"People think you just want to be praised or masabihan ka ng maganda, no, it’s not that.

“Kaunting respeto naman kasi sine-share ko naman ang buhay ko sa inyo, not because it’s my obligation, not because I owe it to you guys, but because I want to, but because happy ako, di ba?”

When asked why among the issues thrown at her this affected her most:

She explained, “Personal na siya and it’s about my weight.
