In a report by ABS-CBN News, Duterte said traffic enforcers and street sweepers will receive additional bonus. She did not disclose the additional amount.

"Sila ang mga empleyado ng city government na napakahirap ng trabaho. Naglilinis sila ng kanal, kumukuha ng basura. Naiinitan, nauulanan ang mga traffic enforcer," said the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte.

ABS-CBN also talked to Jerry Coronica, a member of Davao City's Canal Brigade. He said they are more encouraged to work for the city because they feel the city takes care of their needs.

"Hindi namin ikinahihiya ang aming trabaho. Ipinagmamalaki pa rin namin kahit nasa drainage department kami," said Coronica as quoted by ABS-CBN News.

Sara Duterte-Carpio, also known as Inday Sara to Davaoeños, assumed the top executive position in Davao City on June 30, 2016.

She succeeded her father President Duterte as mayor of the city. Her brother Paolo Duterte is the Vice Mayor.
