Kapamilya actor Coco Martin paid a discreet visit to his idol Fernando Poe Jr's grave in Manila North Cemetery on December 14.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the young action star does not bring the media whenever he visits the cemetery.
Coco also scheduled the first special preview of his MMFF entry "Ang Panday" on the same day as FPJ's 13th death anniversary on December 15, Wednesday.
"Sobra akong nagpapasalamat sa kanya dahil siyempre first directorial job ko, hindi naman ako nag-aral ng film, pakiramdam ko parang laging andiyan siya para gabayan po ako," said Coco about FPJ.
Coco also visited Da King in June 2017 before beginning his shoot for "Ang Panday".
The epic fantasy action film is based on Carlo J Caparas' comic book character with the same name. The character was first brought to life in the big screen by the legendary action star Fernando Poe Jr.
FPJ's wife Boots Anson Roa and his daughter Senator Grace Poe thanked Coco for continuing FPJ's legacy.
Coco also plays the lead in the TV series, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano". The daily teleserye is based on the 1997 movie of the same title produced and starred in by FPJ.
Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, the real name of FPJ, died in 2004 after a stroke. He is remembered as "Da King", one of the greatest action star in Philippine cinema.
