Christmastime is just around the corner and many are quite curious over the holiday plans of their celebrity idols. Fortunately for Jennylyn Mercado fans, the Kapuso actress has recently shared some details of her Christmas plans.
But before we delve into Mercado’s Christmas plans, the 30-year-old “All of You” star shared why she can’t help but feel sad during Christmas.
In the report that KAMI obtained from PEP.ph, Mercado admitted shedding tears during Christmas because she misses her departed adopted parents — Roger and Lydia Mercado. She said the holiday season is the time of the year that you often think of your loved ones.
Mercado added that losing someone you love is indeed painful. In fact, the pain of losing was unfathomable when she lost her dad in 2008 because she was pregnant with her son, Jazz.
“Siyempre, sa mga ganitong okasyon mo maaalala ang mga taong nawala sa buhay mo na pinakamamahal mo, di ba?” Mercado said. “Noong mawala si Daddy noong 2008, ang sakit no’n. Kasi buntis pa ako noong mga panahon na iyon kay Jazz.”
The pain, however, became excruciating when she lost Mommy Lydia last year. According to Mercado, losing her adoptive mother felt like she was all alone.
"Pero noong mawala na si Mama last year, yun ang pinakamasakit sa lahat kasi parang nawalan ako ng sandalan,” Mercado admitted. “Nawalan ako ng kakampi.”
"Si Mama kasi ang naging hingahan ko ng mga problema ko,” she added. “Siya ang laging kasama ko at siya ang number one supporter ko sa lahat.”
Mercado also said that her son loved her mother very much. That is why she felt so depressed when she lost Mommy Lydia.
Despite missing her departed loved ones, the Starstruck alum believes that her parents are always there guiding her and Jazz. She also added that she prays for their souls every single day.
On a much lighter note, Mercado also revealed her Christmas plans with boyfriend Dennis Trillo. According to the actress, Trillo will be joining them on Christmas Eve during Noche-Buena.
On Christmas Day, on the other hand, Mercado, her son Jazz and her biological father Noli Pineda will join Trillo’s family for lunch.
Meanwhile, Jennylyn Mercado is set to appear at the official MMFF 2017 entry, “All of You.” She is joining Derek Ramsay, who plays her leading man.
The film is scheduled to hit the cinemas on Dec. 25. It is under the direction of “How to Be Yours” filmmaker Dan Villegas.
KAMI wishes Mercado to find the peace and happiness she deserves this holiday season.
