Robin and Mariel Padilla's daughter Maria Isabella De Padilla, just turned one last November 14, 2017.
People are well-aware of Mariel's challenging breastfeeding journey.
Just recently, Mariel was awarded by the Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines for her advocacy on breastfeeding.
Mariel also gained a lot of weight after giving birth, because according to her, she needs to eat a lot to counter her lack of milk supply, therefore, she will be able to breastfeed Isabella.
But during an interview with husband Robin, he said that he wants Mariel to stop breastfeeding their daughter so she can prioritize her health.
He is worried that she's been overweight for a long period of time already and this is very unhealthy for her.
Robin said that he feels his wife has done more than enough to breastfeed their daughter.
During his interview with ABS-CBN's Darla Sauler, Robin was quoted saying:
"Pero pinatitigil ko na siya, sinasabi ko sa kanya okay na yan, tama na muna yung breastfeeding mo..
"Kasi ang nangyare kay Mariel nag overweight naman siya..
"Kasi hindi naman siya pinagpala na malaki yung gatas niya eh, na malaki yung reserve.
"Si Mariel kung ano yung kinain niyang marami yan yung gatas na ipo-produce..
"Eh kinakabahan na ako kasi ang tagal na niyang overweight..
"Ayoko naman na anuhin niya yung.. kasi meron naman mga paraan na organic parin.
Tulungan niyo 'kong mag convince sa kaya na tama na..
"Tama na babe, napatanuyan mo na.."

On August 7, Robin declared his love for co-host Mariel on national TV and gave her a ring worth 1.2M, report says.
