- Vice Ganda shared the dreams he had in the past few days to the “madlang people”
- Unkabogable Star revealed death as the common theme of his dreams
- Ganda explained why he doesn’t like to ask the meaning of dreams
During the Dec. 5 episode of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on the ABS-CBN noontime variety program, “It’s Showtime,” Vice Ganda opened up about his dreams. The TV host/actor revealed that his dreams have one common theme — death.
In the video KAMI obtained from ABS-CBN Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, Ganda, along with fellow host Jhong Hilario, were interviewing a “Tawag ng Tanghalan” contestant. During the conversation, the 41-year-old Unkabogable star suddenly opened up about his dreams while he was sick, which have something to do with his departed loved ones.
“Nagkasakit kasi ako ilang araw,” Ganda told the madlang people. “Sunod-sunod… alam mo ang napapanaginipan ko puro patay — yung tatay ko, yung lolo ko, si Direk Wenn [Deramas] tapos kagabi naman lola ko.”
“Ano kaya ang ibig sabihin nun?” Ganda asked Hilario. “Kukunin kaya nila ako?”
Hilario, on the other hand, responded that the reason behind Ganda’s dreams could be because his departed loved ones missed him. Even though the main theme of his dreams is about death, the “Gandarrappido: The Revenger Squad” actor shared that what he had were “happy dreams.”
But what made the studio audience to burst into laughter was when Ryan Bang joined the conversation.
“Papatok [which initially sounded like ‘papatak’] movie mo,” Bang told Ganda. “Papatok movie mo sa Pasko.”
Ganda made Bang nervous when he told him, “Pero sabi pagnakikisali daw sa usapan, yun ang nagiging ano sa panaginip eh [referring to the superstitions about death].”
Ganda also explained why he doesn’t like to ask the meaning behind his dreams. According to the TV host, asking about the meaning of dreams becomes too annoying because of many Filipino superstitions.
Meanwhile, Ganda and Hilario also talked about incidents or their personal experiences on snatches and hold-ups. Hilario shared that his cap was snatched while Ganda revealed someone has grabbed his necklace in front of FEU (Far Eastern University) along the University belt in Manila.
The chitchat took a comical turn when Ganda said, “Hinablot yung kwintas ko eh regalo ng nanay ko yun nung graduation. Eh ang bilis kong tumakbo di ba? Eh di hinabol ko. Bad trip, sa bilis ko, nalampasan ko. Sabi ko, ‘teka lang babalikan kita!’”
Ganda’s statements made everyone in the audience to laugh.
KAMI admires Ganda's talents for entertaining the Filipino masses.
