Jennica Garcia, a 23-year-old living with cerebral palsy, is named Miss Possibilities 2017 on Saturday, December 2 at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Despite living with CP, Garcia graduated with an Accountancy degree in college, underwent a year of Teaching Certificate Program in UST, and just recently, passed the Licensure Exam for Teachers.
Organized by the Miss Possibilities Foundation, the pageant hailed 12 candidates with special needs and highlighted their talents. All 12 candidates received special awards.
One of the candidates is Mina Princess Klenk, sister of actress Ara Mina. The actress also joined her sister on stage while she sang for the talent portion. She won Miss Charming.
Other celebrities also attended the event including Judy Ann Santos, Camille Prats, Pops Fernandez, Alden Richards, Billy Crawford, and Mylene Dizon.
The pageant aims to recognize and value each person as they are.
