Andray Blatche is finally in Manila, after a one-week delay, to start practicing with the rest of Gilas Pilipinas for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Blatche arrived late Saturday evening.
KAMI learned of his arrival through ABS-CBN Sports.
The naturalized center was supposed to be in the country last week. However, he had to play in the final two regular season games of the Chinese Basketball Association.
The national team is set to have two practices on Sunday to get Blanche in sync with the rest of the team.
Gilas is gearing up for its first two games in the FIBA Asian Qualifiers. They will be up against Japan on November 24 and will be leaving for Tokyo on November 21, Tuesday.
Their next game after that will be here in Manila against Taipei on November 27.
