Following the consistent victories of Philippines in international beauty pageants, Winwyn Marquez as Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and Karen Ibasco as Miss Earth 2017, a lot were expected from Philippine bet Mariel de Leon.
Pageant fans were very disappointed when Mariel did not receive any special award and failed to enter the Top 15.
People who watched the pageant noticed that Mariel de Leon seemed unprepared during the competition and is not in her absolute potential.
According to many, Mariel de Leon allegedly devoted more of her time on the Kapamilya show 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano' which is her recent showbiz gig, instead of giving herself fully to prepare and train for the pageant.
Philippine bet Rachel Peters, acknowledged Mariel's effort and thanked her for representing the country.
Rachel Peters is set to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2017 pageant.
What do you think of Mariel's performance during the pageant? Do you think she gave her all or does she need more training?
