Almost a month ago, Veteran TV Host Joey De Leon bluntly commented that Depression is “gawa-gawa lang ng mga tao”. This statement elicited strong reactions from people including Maine Mendoza.
KAMI learned from PEP that in an Interview with The Actor/ comedian for their upcoming movie with Paolo Ballesteros, He is aware that many people got mad and offended but he already asked for an apology.
Joey explained.
Joey was asked about his reaction on the tweet of Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel De Leon about Depression.
The daughter of Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong posted: “Depression isn’t a joke. Same last name, but thank God, we’re not related. Ew. Shame on him and people who think like him.”
Joey said that he doesn't have any idea bout it.
The TV Host first apologizes to Maine who initially disagreed on his statement.
“Sabi ko, I’m sorry. Immediately, the next day, nag-sorry ako.
“Ganoon talaga, hindi ko alam.
“So ngayon, alam ko na, so I’m sorry.” He ended.
