Actress-host Pauleen Luna opened up about the unexpected early delivery of her first baby with her “Eat Bulaga” co-host and husband Vic Sotto.
KAMI learned about Pauleen’s comments from PEP.ph.
Pauleen gave birth via cesarean section on November 6, three weeks before her due date, at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
She also had a priest, Father Jeff Quintela, bless her baby girl.
"Nagpa-check up lang ako, kasi may mga contractions na ako. Siguro mataas lang talaga ang threshold ko sa pain.
"Kahit medyo malakas na ang contractions, 'kala ko parang normal lang. Iba na pala, sabi ng doktor ko.
"Nagpa-check up lang talaga ako, e, pinadiretso na ako i-confine... gusto na niya talaga lumabas.
"Hindi pa talaga kami ready."
The OB-gynecologist decided to perform a c-section because the baby’s heartbeat was faint during Pauleen’s labor.
Fortunately, the baby was born healthy, weighing 6.9 pounds.
Pauleen shared that Vic also thought about naming the baby “Prima.”
When asked why, Pauleen replied: “Premature.”
She added that the baby’s name and face will soon be revealed.
Despite the difficulty of her delivery, Pauleen said that it was all worth it.
"Iba pala talaga ang feeling. Ang sarap-sarap kahit mahirap, okay lang."
KAMI believes that Pauleen and Vic will be wonderful parents to their baby girl!
