- Agot also revealed how she feels about the killings caused by the war against crime
Agot Isidro is known as one of the most vocal critics of President Rodrigo Duterte in showbiz. She explained what turned her off about the President.
KAMI learned about her comments from PEP.ph.
According to Agot, what turned her off initially was the way Duterte talked.
“Something inside me just... nag-awaken sa akin. Kasi na-turn off ako sa mga pagmumura. Kasi napaka-basic nun, e, di ba?
“Yung pagmumura, hindi lang ng kung sinu-sino, pati head of the state, minumura.”
Despite the bad first impression, Agot said that she still gave him a chance.
However, she realized that she has had enough because of the killings in the government’s war against crime.
“Since then, binigyan ko naman ng chance.
“Actually, hindi lang naman President Duterte, kundi yung pamamalakad lang niya, and later on, hindi ako agree sa mga desisyon niya na nangyayari ngayon.”
“Tapos, nakikita ko yung patayan. Kailangan bang patayin? Di ba, may rule of law? May proseso ‘yan, e. Bakit kailangang patayin?
“Saka hindi naman porke’t gumagamit, kailangang patayin… misguided. I really think it’s a social and health issue, not a criminal. Yun lang. Yun ang nag-awaken sa akin.”
