- Deniece Cornejo filed cases against Vhong Navarro
- The DOJ decided to junk Deniece’s cases
- Vhong expressed his gratitude to DOJ
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has junked the two cases filed by model Deniece Cornejo against “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro.
KAMI learned about the news from PEP.ph.
According to the ruling of the DOJ, there are a lot of inconsistencies and holes in the testimony of Deniece regarding the controversial incident in 2014.
The DOJ resolution says that Deniece’s credibility is in question since her behavior with Cedric Lee – which was caught on CCTV – was not consistent with what she claims to have happened between her and Vhong.
Deniece’s two previous cases against Vhong, filed in 2014, were also junked by the DOJ.
Vhong’s manager, Chito S. Roño, said that the comedian-host is thankful to the DOJ for junking the cases against him.
"Vhong Navarro is grateful and overwhelmed by [the] DOJ decision," Chito said, according to Mario Dumaual’s Twitter post.
