Filipinos are a superstitious bunch. Kami.com.ph believes that this is so with the sheer number of superstitious beliefs that are still being practiced. To name a few, there's not trying on the wedding dress, covering up all mirrors in the house during a wake, and expecting guests when a spoon or fork falls on the floor during a meal.
Some of these beliefs are absolutely outrageous, but after being the melting pot of foreign beliefs for hundreds of years, the belief in omens is but a minor portion of this rich culture.
Just a few days ago, however, the Philippines has witnessed yet another uncommon occurrence - the appearance of the 'apocalyptic' orange sky - which left netizens confused between being in awe and in fear.
While some admire this beautiful #orangesky, some people deemed it necessary to ask, "What's happening?"
According to the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) however, this orange sky is nothing but the version of a vivid sunset after a thunderstorm.
Here is yet another part of the Filipino culture that will surely make you proud... and hungry!
