Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada has finally been released from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame after posting a P1.33-million bail.
KAMI learned about the news from PEP.ph.
Estrada was arrested three years ago for his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scandal.
His fellow former senator and friend Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was also jailed with him due to the same allegation.
Estrada was finally allowed to post bail due to a supposed lack of evidence against him.
He thanked God, the Sandiganbayan and his supporters after his release.
“Unang-una, nagpapasalamat ako sa ating Panginoon, nagpapasalamat ako sa Sandiganbayan, at sa lahat ng mga nanalangin at dasal para sa akin…,” Estrada said in a video from Kevin Manalo’s Twitter.
KAMI is hoping that truth and justice will prevail in this case!
