Kapamilya actress Roxanne Barcelo opened up about the biggest differences between being in a romantic relationship with a Filipino and with a foreigner.

According to Roxanne, Pinoys are more family-oriented while foreigners have a bit of a temper.

However, her current partner Will Devaughn is a different kind of a foreigner boyfriend. Her ex-boyfriend, Luis Alandy, is a Pinoy.

“Ang hirap, kasi si Will is not the typical foreign boyfriend. Nung una iniisip ko, di ba ang mga foreigners baka may temper, ganun?

“Iba-iba, e. Depende sa lahi. Pag Pinoy, Mama’s boy ang sinasabi. Ano ba yung mga usual kuda nila kapg sobrang attached sa pamilya?

“Ako naman I love that about Filipinos, Filipino guys. Bet ko yun, bet ko na malapit sila sa pamilya nila.

“Si Will, on the other hand, malapit din siya sa nanay niya, sobra! Bunso siya, e. So malapit talaga siya,” Roxanne said.

The biggest difference for her is that Pinoy boyfriends are much more concerned with a woman’s past while foreigner boyfriends do not care as much

“Ang difference para sa akin is values. Magkaiba talaga, magkaiba yung pananaw nila. Para sa Pinoy, issue ang past. Gusto nila alam nila lahat.

“E, ang Afam, deadma! Ke may anak ka, hindi ka idya-judge. So parang, dito kasi parang pag may anak ka na, maraming kuda! E mahalaga yun, to move forward,” the actress explained.
