Derek reveals no plans of returning to ABS-CBN yet: ‘TV5 is my priority’

Remember his controversial network transfer seven years ago? It has affected his career somewhat.

Since Derek Ramsay announced that he isn’t banned on ABS-CBN grounds anymore, does it mean that he might return to his old network?

After all, there have been rumors circulating that his TV5 contract will expire in April 2018.

KAMI found out (via PUSH) that he has not decided yet about transferring networks.

He said:

Again, I can’t say. TV5 is my priority. Lahat ng mga projects na binigay nila sa akin is because hindi lang ito ang naisip nila na si Derek na lang ang natitirang artista, sa kanya na lang natin ibigay.

The 40-year-old also shut down rumors that he’s entertaining offers of other networks.

He shared:

You know there’s ano, there’s hearsay na o dito ka na. Pero nothing na seryoso. I think it would be very disrespectful for me to entertain other offers.

Since he is one of the TV5’s prized stars, he has been given projects that he is completely interested in.

He revealed that he has not been ‘forced to do a project’ for the network and is about to have a new show in the works.

Looks like he’s going to be busy this year – one of his upcoming projects is with Bea Alonzo!

The two have previously worked on 'Magkaribal' and 'And I Love You So'. (photo credit:
