Students from the U.S. perform Pinoy song 'Da Coconut Nut'

A group of students from the United States were spotted singing Ryan Cayabyab's 'Da Coconut Nut', a song that Filipinos have always loved singing.

The men's choir with 75 members from Baylor University School of Music performed an impromptu of the song during their Emirate flight to entertain the flight crew and other passengers.

KAMI spotted the video shared on Emirats' Facebook page which imediately went viral, gaining almost 3 million views in less than a day.

The song was composed by Filipino musician Ryan Cayabyab and was popularized by the group Smokey Mountain which became a hit in the 90's.

The song also has a choral arrangement that has been performed by choirs from different parts of the world.
